The best seaside blues to bring inside

When you’ve finished swooning over the dove-soft blues in the Amity Marble slab from Opustone shown in the feature pic above, take a minute over another azure stones and tiles that have recently left me just a little more impatient for days filled with clear and sunny skies.

The stone at right has the distinctive translucent quality of onyx. I love the the way the gentle blues are framed by creamy clouds, tipped with hints of sunny gold. The shimmery effect is enhanced by an extra polished finish. Pic: Opustone

The Plume quartz slab shown below is from Walker Zanger. These Mediterranean blues are as refreshing as a soft breeze on a hot beach. A dramatic stone even when it’s not bookmatched. In fact, I may even prefer it an unmatched slab, with its tie-dye tangles of sapphire and ink.

Hand-made glass tiles from Walker Zanger’s Shimmer collection come in a range of beautiful blues and versatile shapes, including the groovy wave pattern shown below.
