A Christmas tradition that celebrates the season and supports sports for kids

I wanted to share with my Toronto-area readers how completely charmed I was by a preview of Canadian Tire’s 2021 Christmas Trail, and how much the Man of the House (MOTH) and I enjoyed the decked-out drive we took through the site we knew as kids as Black Creek Pioneer Village. It was so very delightful, with tens of thousands of twinkling lights on large-scale installations, beautifully-designed holiday decoration, colourful heaps of toys, pretty ribbon and wrap, live caroling, check-ins and games with enthusiastic elves (MOTH made friends with all of them) and a magical ballerina in a snow globe. Loved the playlist provided. And of course I got a pic with Santa, and told him I’d been darn good this year!

If you’re in need of a little seasonal fun, this may be just the thing. You should go if you can. Tickets go on sale at www.CTChristmasTickets.com on November 8 at 10:30 am eastern. $25 per car. Open to the public as of November 13. All proceeds go to Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart program.
